Volunteer
Position Summary
The NextGen H.Y.P.E. Foundation Volunteer plays a vital role in supporting our mission to empower youth through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership development, career readiness, and community engagement. Volunteers assist with programs, workshops, special events, and administrative tasks while helping create a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for youth and families.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with youth workshops, educational programs, and community events.
  • Welcome participants and help with event registration and check-in.
  • Set up and clean up classrooms, meeting spaces, and event areas.
  • Support instructors and program leaders during activities.
  • Encourage and mentor youth through positive interactions.
  • Distribute educational materials and program supplies.
  • Assist with fundraising events and community outreach.
  • Help organize donations, supplies, and event materials.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information.
  • Represent the Foundation in a professional, respectful, and positive manner.
  • Follow all Foundation policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Passion for serving youth and the community.
  • Friendly, dependable, and professional attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (or younger with parent/guardian approval, if applicable).
  • Background check required for volunteers working directly with youth.
  • Ability to attend required orientation and training.
Time Commitment

  • Volunteers may serve weekly, monthly, or during special events based on availability.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist with event setup as needed.

Requirements

Volunteer Requirements
Members who volunteer directly with youth may also be required to:
  • Complete a volunteer orientation.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Complete any required child safety or abuse prevention training.
  • Follow all youth protection and safety guidelines.
Youth Membership Requirements
Youth members should:
  • Be between the ages of 8 and 20.
  • Have a parent or guardian complete required permission forms if under 18.
  • Attend programs regularly.
  • Demonstrate respect toward staff, volunteers, and fellow participants.
  • Follow Foundation rules and expectations.
